We can use a second hard disk (DH3) to store the files we need to save to the main hard disk (DH2). If the Workbench disk image we downloaded is Workbench 2.1 or later we need to copy the directory Workbench to the hard disk to avoid overwriting the existing files. However, if we are using a 2.1 disk image version, we need to rename Workbench to Workbench32.
We have successfully installed AmigaOS 3.1 and loaded Workbench 2.1 so we can set the drive to boot from the internal HD. Then, we need to copy some files from the Workbench disk images to the hard disk. In the case of Workbench 2.1 they are available in the file system named Workbench2.1. The copied files are used to create a new disk image that can be used to boot from the hard disk with an Amiga system. We need to rename Workbench.bk to Workbench.bk, and the copy of the Kickstart ROM file is needed to create a new disk image named Workbench.hdf. If we are using a 2.1 disk image version we need to rename Workbench.bk to Workbench32.bk, and the copy of the Kickstart ROM file is needed to create a disk image named Workbench.hdf
