I purchased a used sylvania netbook windows ce and it did not have icons at all. I visited the digitalgadgets.com website and downloaded the OS update to a SD card. then, unzipped it to the root file on netbook. At first, it did not show any icons still. But I later found the files within windows explorer. However, the next day after turning back on the netbook. The icons appeared.
